OUR COMMUNITIES

Town of Two Hills

“A Gateway to the North”, the Town of Two Hills is located at the junction of Highway 36 and 45 and is only 136 km east of Edmonton. Two Hills has an innovative and growing manufacturing sector serving the agricultural and oil and gas industry, including specialized equipment for the production of heavy oil. Highway 45 runs east/west through the Town, a main corridor to the oil and gas fields in northeastern Alberta. In addition, Highway 36, a High/Wide Load Corridor intersects Highway 45 in Two Hills. A global manufacturer supplying the refuse industry thrives in Two Hills due to its location and access to all markets.

The area surrounding Two Hills is blessed with rich soil and idyllic conditions, which has led to a prosperous community of mixed farming operations. Modern technology has enabled the family farm to expand, encompassing more and more acreage, producing crops such as canola, wheat, oats, barely, rye, flax and now hemp, cannabis, field peas, legumes and sunflowers. Livestock is also a vital part of this industry, with increased activity in the rearing of hogs in ultra-modern facilities, and improved pastures to support larger herds of dairy and beef cattle.

Our fine community, an urban center nestled in an agricultural region, offers something for everyone. Low land costs, excellent infrastructure, an educated labour force and easy access to markets in the oil and gas industry, makes Two Hills an excellent choice to build or expand your business. We are proud of our small town and welcome you to share it with us as a guest, a new citizen or an investor.
