OUR COMMUNITIES

Village of Boyle

Located just over 60 minutes north of Edmonton, the Village of Boyle thrives on the strength of the region’s agriculture, forestry, and natural gas sectors. The Village is also an affordable residential option for many who commute to the oil sands.

Tourism is a feature of the region’s economy, driven by the presence of numerous lakes, rivers, and streams – they are all part of the natural beauty the area has to offer.

Industry is attracted to the Village by affordable land values, transportation access, and a stable labour force. Opportunities exist in the areas of wood products manufacturing, oil and gas services, agricultural processing, resource extraction, recreation industry and industrial/commercial and residential development.

The Village is home to Portage College’s innovative Heavy Equipment Operator and Pipeline Training campus that provides both simulated and practical experience for those looking for work in oil and gas, construction, or road building industries.
